Grant T. Lloyd

Managing Partner

Grant is a fourth generation Oklahoma attorney. Born in Edmond Oklahoma, Grant is a 2004 graduate of Oklahoma State University and a 2007 graduate of the University of Tulsa College of Law.

A certified mediator, Grant is a member of both the Oklahoma and Arkansas Bars, and admitted to practice in the United States District Court for all Oklahoma federal districts, as well as the 10th Circuit and the Cherokee Nation. He holds the title of Rising Star by Super Lawyers for a decade and was awarded the title of Outstanding Young Lawyer by the Tulsa County Bar Association in 2013-2014. Grant is a former member of the board of directors for Tahlequah Area Chamber of Commerce. In addition to his many committee memberships, he has formerly chaired the Membership Services Committee, Community Outreach Committee, and co-chaired the Mentoring Committee for the Tulsa County Bar Association. He is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association, Cherokee County Bar Association and Oklahoma Bar Foundation. He is a former board member of Mental Health Association Oklahoma and former City Attorney for Tahlequah, OK. He currently serves as the Attorney for the Town of Hulbert.

During his law school tenure, Grant interned for Tulsa County Judge Gordon McAllister. He was an officer in the Public Interest Law Society and member of the Christian Legal Society, Oklahoma and American Bar Association Law Student Divisions, and the Phi Delta Phi International Legal Fraternity. He also volunteered for Legal Aid through the John 3:16 Legal Mission.

Grant is married to Kalan Chapman Lloyd, an attorney and award-winning author.  He and his wife are active volunteers in their local community.  They have three children.

Kalan Chapman Lloyd

Kalan is a fourth generation Cherokee County resident whose great-grandparents settled here from San Antonio. She is a 2005 graduate of Oklahoma State University and a 2007 graduate of the University of Tulsa College of Law where she was the Candidates Editor for the Tulsa Journal of Comparative and International Law and earned her certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution.

Qualified as a domestic violence court expert, Kalan is a member the Oklahoma Bar. Prior to joining Lloyd Legal PLLC in private practice, she worked for international accounting firms KPMG and BDO and regional firm HoganTaylor; representing clients in high-dollar tax issues before going in-house with one of her clients, Laredo Petroleum, Inc. There, she produced tax savings of over 50 million dollars during her tenure. Throughout the course of her career, she has taught Legal Research and Writing at the college level for aspiring paralegals.

During her law school tenure, Kalan served as an intern for the Tulsa County Public Defender’s Office, Civil Division, representing children. It was there she found her legal passion. She was nominated for the Oklahoma Family Law Student of the Year and received the CALI Award for Excellence in Intellectual Property and was a member of the Christian Legal Society, Oklahoma and American Bar Association Law Student Divisions. In addition to her legal practice, she is the author of several award-winning books, and continues to write the series, The MisAdventures of Miss Lilly, based on her hometown.
